Jos 1:7 Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest.
Jos 1:8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
Jos 1:9 Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.

Amen. I was just reading in Psalm 1 today. The same concept. Then I noticed how in Psalm 3 when David is in trouble He goes to the Lord (& puts into practice Psalm 1).
@naphtali_deer - often in Psalms you will find David seemingly bemoans the prosperity of the wicked, but then he reconsiders their end, and praises the Lord.
@eagleendtime - Yes. There are some good lessons in that. We're prone to do the same thing, but then we're directed us to the remedy: to look to the Lord. I believe there's only one psalm where the Psalmist ends the Psalm still downcast rather than uplifted and praising the Lord.
