But not only is the candlestick of gold, it is of BEATEN gold. Hand-crafted of beaten gold, according to her blue prints which were Spirit-given. Outside of her Lord and Master, Jesus Christ, was ever a people so beaten and purged as the bride of Jesus Christ? Surely she is filling up the sufferings that Christ has left behind. Her goods are despoiled. Her life is in jeopardy. She is accounted as sheep for the slaughter. She is killed all the day long. She suffers much, but in it all retaliates not, neither does she cause others to suffer. Worthy of the Gospel is this lovely bride of Christ. And as gold is malleable, whereas brass will break with the beating, this gold of God will bear her suffering for the Lord, not bowed, not broken, not destroyed, but formed as a thing of beauty and a joy forever by the trials and testings of this life.

Impossible Ginger Ale Sale

Anyone really close to me, will eventually find out that of all soft drinks, Ginger Ale is my favorite. Discovering the stronger brews (a whole lot more ginger) and thus more expensive, has led it to being a treat now and then. A precious four will last a couple of weeks to a month, and each bottled savoured.

For the longest stretch, it's been Outrageously Strong Ginger Ale, on sale at Fred Meyer's usually for 3.99 a four pack. Well the sale was to expire this 5th of December so while in town, I made a stop to purchase a case. Disappointment was meant, they were out. Yes a rain-check might of been had. Next on the shelf was Reed's Orginial and Extra Strong but at nearly 7 bucks - no thanks. Fact of the matter, I thought 'Reeds never goes on sale especially the Extra strong'.

Well, I continue my shopping tour, of the various grocery stores - replenishing Mother Hubbard's cupboard.

At what was suppose to be my last stop, as my budget was spent. The final thought stop and check Albertson's bargains on the way out of town. Which I did, and went immediately to their discount area.

There on the floor was Reed's Extra Strong Ginger Ale marked down for 3.00 , (only one pack, there was two other Orginals - in the markdown area but no price for them).

Once again in my life a clear definitive thought of the "impossible" or "never" had happened.

I ought to know better than think that. There has been several occassions in which God has demonstrated the 'impossible' to happen.

We made the purchase and enjoyed a bottle. It is definitely Extra Strong, with a distintive bite to it.

Praise the Lord.

Summer Camp 2009 Testimony

This camp was interesting and a testimony for me. As last year there was a winner's circle. The winners for the days event got to eat BBQ steak, and Crab, along with a salad and desert – not your regular camp meal.

To get into the winner's circle was determined by points accumulated from the days games. The games where usually: Bible quiz, listen to quotes and select which tape it is, field questions on a timed event for selected tapes (tapes one was suppose to listen to before camp), volley ball, and maybe another couple of athletic events. The winner's circle was sponsored by the minister in charge of camp – he thought it would be good for those who really gave their all.

So for last year about the second day of camp, the team I was on ended out tying for first place. It was decided that a sudden death show down to be determined by asking message question. We lost on the first question. That was okay, for the team we lost to, had a member I thought should be in the winner's circle.

Well the rest of camp went fine, with the teams I was on usually placing decent, but Friday rolled around the last day of camp. Throughout the day, our team placed high, and by supper time it was announced that there was tie, and immediately I thought – NO not again. This time we filed outside while everyone lined up. Again it was sudden death showdown, this time we went 3 or 4 questions before our team answered wrong.

This was too much, not because we lost, but I knew the answer and choked up, and didn't say it and say our answer was wrong. At least voice my opinion, and if over rode that would of be fine, But I didn't say a thing. So I went by a tree, and prayed. Thanking for losing, yet regretting not speaking.

This year for Camp we had another four tapes to listen to:

The Kinsman Redeemer (60-1002)
The Handwriting on the wall (58-0309M)
A Super Sense (59-1227E)
The Anointed Ones At The End Time (65-0725M)

After listening to Marriage and Divorce (last tape in 65 for me), I listened steadily to the camp tapes for about 7 weeks and took notes. We weren't allowed to use notes at camp which was fine for me, as memorization or looking at notes was not was what I wanted to depend on, but getting something for my soul was the objective. Ever since our Genoa (Missionary) meetings, camp laid before me, and anytime I prayed for I thought “Lord I don't want no more sudden death showdowns, just outright knowing where I stand” So be it.

This year camp events where : Pictionary – both bible and message, bible trivia, listen to quotes and pick which tape, volleyball, tug a war, and field event with 5 questions for each camp tape. Also the points emphasis was a lot more for bible and message games. Again the week progressed, and every day which team I was on did fail but clearly. Mentioning last years sudden deaths to a deacon, his reply was you prayed wrong. Well yes, it would be nice to win, but it didn't matter, but it got me to thinking I may be running from a problem – I didn't want to face a sudden death. “Lord whatever you want”

On the last day the teams weren't coed. Instead six teams of girls and six of men. The only part to be coed was the camp tape questions. We were number 4 team and paired with number 4 girls. We scored exceptionally high on those questions, and got bonus points for complete pages with correct answers. Our female partners did very well in all events, however the camp minister tested the team attitude by purposely announcing them in third place. The first place girl's team was suspicious of their placing, and shortly afterwards the true winning was announced ( and yes our partner team maintained a good attitude).

For us things didn't go so well. On the physical side we lost ground and terribly so. Plus I cracked a rib ( ouch – laughing hurt). When the men's winner was announced it wasn't just a two tie, but a three way for first – and yes my team was in. No sudden deaths all week, but my attitude change and here is one, and against two other teams. My thought “ Here we go Lord”

It was decided 5 points would be given out, 1 for a stump tug a war between our best man and the opposing teams, and 4 for message questions ( 2 for each question). It wasn't going to go easy for us, we didn't get a by, so our man on the tug a war had to fight twice if we won the first. Amazingly, he (Raymond) did, with his stump almost giving out and against some stiff competition – but his thoughts were like last year's camp – 'could one win on last of camp, and he did last year, so it could happen again'.

Now came the questions, we filed out of the tent, into our teams, well separated from each other. If we got both questions right, with the tug of war win, we would have the winner's circle, but anything could happen.

I looked around and thought, this is unusual, this is the third time for me Lord. Three is your number. And not just one other team but two. Anticipation was rising in me. I was facing what I was running from. My attitude change and it's sudden death.

One of the camp counselors – Judah was on our team and suffering a severe migraine headache for most of the day. Scott said we should pray for Judah, and we did, but no mention on what should happen for the game ahead ( which was wonderful). Afterwards I spoke up, and said 'if any one knows the answer don't choke up, speak it ' ( this pep talk was more for me than anyone else).

Now Bro. Alan and Bro Bates came with the questions. First question was:

In the Kinsmen Redeemer what did the handful of Barely represent:

a. A good meeting

b. healing

c. Revelation

d. A sign or wonder

e. all of the above

Raymond asks me, and all of sudden all eyes are me, I said it represented a healing, and a revelation, Raymond says than e. all of the above. Yes, I replied that would be the one. 2 points

Next question, in Super Sense what did the group of ministers say to the man with Polio?

My reply “you're bringing a reproach to Christianity”

“you sure” “yes”

A slight debate = 1 point for the answer is

“You're bringing a reproach upon the cause”

Now they wander off and do both the other remaining two teams together. One of them gets three points just like us, and like us got only one on the Super Sense question. They messed up on the word of reproach, and got cause. If it wasn't for Ray's valiant showing on the tug of war it would have been a tie. We won!!

Yes tears were flowing, for me the winner's circle had a special meaning. It was a hard fought battle. Being elevated was not the objective, nor special treatment and the meal neither. For as Bro. Alan gave a mini sermon on our win: Doing our best, each member playing their part, gaining the prize set before us. Winning this is nothing in comparison to that day when we shall see Jesus and sit down at His Table. (Also for me, it was a way of redemption, my performance I felt in the physical games was poor, but in the message and scriptures was my turn).

So on the last day, the third sudden death for me, we sat down for steak and grab, a beautiful salad and desert plus a special treat of tri cut that was well marinated. Team 4 boys made it as well as team 4 girls.

And for my cracked rib, I got prayed for next day (hoping it just a bruise). By Monday the major pain was gone, but it took about two months to finish healing. Did I see a doctor – big negative – they would only tell me what I knew and charge me for it to boot, and money is in short supply. So it is Jesus the great physician.

A conversion - turn around

I said, "That's right. That's exactly right."
Said, "You know..." He said "Well, I've went to all of them; and they told me I'd crossed the separating line." Said, "You was a prophet, you could tell me what was wrong."
I said, "You don't need a prophet. The Word settled that.

I serve God because I love Him

The things I do and how I serve God are because I love Him. Now I don't always do it the right way, but out of my heart I serve God because I love Him. I don't follow a list of dos and don'ts.

Take these things:

I don't swear or talk dirty, or full of innuendos, because I love God and want to please Him.

Smoking, drinking, and drugs are out of the picture, again because I love Him and want to do things pleasing Him. Going to parties and dances, sorry I find where the saints are and my joy is singing to the Lord.

I love going to church, it's not a duty or thing I must DO, but something I LOVE doing.

Reading my bible and listening to sermons/messages and gospel music are pleasing to me. It's not work.

Not stealing and providing a honest days work is my satisfaction.

Honoring and respecting my parents despite our differences brings me happiness. It's not a chore nor not lying. Fact is lying makes me feel rotten and making it right is my desire. If a clerk gives extra change, I enjoy making the correction and walk away with a satisfaction of doing right.

Helping others whether recognition is involved or not matters not to me. Something in my joys in that.

Living a clean pure life, while looking for Mrs. Right, is something I must do from within, and not a constraint from outside.

For I know in doing these things I please my Lord and Saviour Jesus. If you love someone, something or a life style you do that from within, and seek to please that person. It may seem that this is following a list of Dos and don'ts but the difference is: a list is external, these are my desires from within.

For I know and understand who I follow. And hope to be like David a man who loved God from his heart.

This scripture really blessed me this Sunday, I just flipped my bible open and this is what I read.

Jer 9:
23 ¶Thus saith the Lord, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches:
24 But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the Lord which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith the Lord.

The Full Armour of God

This scripture has been on my heart since the Last of day of our Youth Camp.

(Eph 6:11 KJVR) Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

(Eph 6:12 KJVR) For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

(Eph 6:13 KJVR) Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

(Eph 6:14 KJVR) Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

(Eph 6:16 KJVR) Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

The armour of God is:

having your loins girt about with truth

Loins girt to cover your nakedness.

Jesus is the The Truth

the belt that holds the rest of it together.

Isa 22:21 And I will clothe him with thy robe, and strengthen him with thy girdle, and I will commit thy government into his hand: and he shall be a father to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and to the house of Judah.

Go anywhere, any place, any time: feet shod with the Gospel – telling others the good news

taking the shield of faith,

To have the shield of faith must be born of God.

take the helmet of salvation

Knowing who you are and that He redeemed you.

That's the soul, mind--the mind in here--the head--covers over the head.

The salvation, knowledge of knowing this: "That my healing comes from God; my salvation comes from God; my spirit matches His Word," not the church's idea, the Word. Amen. There you are. Covered over with a protection. The helmet of salvation, deliverance, take that; then go marching forward

the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

Jesus in tne temptation only used the Word for His defence.

Isa 49:2 And he hath made my mouth like a sharp sword; in the shadow of his hand hath he hid me, and made me a polished shaft; in his quiver hath he hid me;

Heb 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Mt 4:4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

Mt 4:7 Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.

Mt 4:10 Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.

Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit

1th 5:17 Pray without ceasing.

watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

1Pe 4:7 But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.

1Pe 4:8 And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.

If you have the Holy Ghost indwelling in you, you have the full armour of God. God is your breastplate, His Word is your shield, His truth covers you, you are His and YOU KNOW IT ( the Helmet of Salvation). You live His Word, and He Christ is your everything.

You walk it, you talk it, you live for it, die for it, and will rise for it.

E-42 Romans 5:1 saying, "Therefore, being justified by faith we have peace with God," fellowship restored. Oh, I love that. Fellowship with God, peace restored back, why? Through the Blood of the Lord Jesus.
In my own city, in Louisville, Kentucky, some few months ago, there was an old fellow over there. They thought he was just an old bum. He a--he'd give out tracts and things down on the street. And he was crossing one day. He lived in a little old shanty down close to the slummy part of the city there, in a--what we call the hay market. And he was a--lived down there, but he done a great work, going around giving out little tracts. It's true, his clothes wasn't always as neat as I guess they could have been; he was an old bachelor.
And he was crossing the street one day, and a automobile just struck him, and just--I--look like broke every bone in him, rolled right over him. And they got him in a ambulance, in a police ambulance, and taken him up there to a certain hospital. And they begin to examine him in the city hospital. They looked at his bones, and so many bones, they... And they put the x-ray over him and found out he was all broke up. And the doctors went to hold a little council, a little fellowship among themselves, over in one corner. They thought the old fellow was out. They said, well, the doctors come to this decision; "It's not worth our time. After all, he's nothing but just a bum, and there's no money in it. So he's nothing but just a bum, so why would we waste our time here, all day long, trying to patch up that old bum?" And they thought there wasn't... They decided they just cover him back over and let him go.
But when they walked over there, he wasn't as dead as they thought they was. He said, "Just a minute, gentlemen," he said, "I am worth something, too." He said, "I was worth so much, till God sent His Son that He might die in my place and give me a grace and a fellowship with Him." He said, "Fifty years ago I embraced that to my heart (real fellowship with God)" he said, "and right now it's sweeter than it ever was in all my life." Said, "Sure, I'm worth something, God so loved me that He gave His Son for me. And He shed His Blood that I might come into a fellowship with Him in His sufferings and in His Presence." And he said, "I have maintained that all these years. And now it's sweeter than it ever was." You can imagine the embarrassments on those doctors faces at that time.

The Gentile Days are Numbered

Israel is back in her homeland, and that my friends is a fulfillment of scriptures for one part. The other part is the God will one day return to His people. We who are gentiles are not a people, and Christ did redeem those who are His from us. But one day Christ will return to His own. James puts it very pointedly in these scriptures.

Act 15:13 And after they had held their peace, James answered, saying, Men and brethren, hearken unto me:

Act 15:14 Simeon hath declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for his name.

Act 15:15 And to this agree the words of the prophets; as it is written,

Act 15:16 After this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up:

Act 15:17 That the residue of men might seek after the Lord, and all the Gentiles, upon whom my name is called, saith the Lord, who doeth all these things.

Christ was the Light to us gentiles

Act 13:47 For so hath the Lord commanded us, saying, I have set thee to be a light of the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be for salvation unto the ends of the earth.

Isa 42:6 I the LORD have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles;

Isa 42:7 To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house.

We were not a people but God has chosen us:

1Pe 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:

1Pe 2:10 Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.

Paul affirms James words of the prophets and confirms us Gentiles with His people (Hebrews):

Rom 15:7 Wherefore receive ye one another, as Christ also received us to the glory of God.

Rom 15:8 Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made unto the fathers:

Rom 15:9 And that the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy; as it is written, For this cause I will confess to thee among the Gentiles, and sing unto thy name.

Rom 15:10 And again he saith, Rejoice, ye Gentiles, with his people.

Rom 15:11 And again, Praise the Lord, all ye Gentiles; and laud him, all ye people.

Rom 15:12 And again, Esaias saith, There shall be a root of Jesse, and he that shall rise to reign over the Gentiles; in him shall the Gentiles trust.

Paul also furthers confirms are limited time as Gentiles to accept Christ:

Rom 11:25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.

Rom 11:26 And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:

Rom 11:27 For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.

Also Zechariah confirms this and Hosea

Zec 12:10 And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.

Zec 12:11 In that day shall there be a great mourning in Jerusalem, as the mourning of Hadadrimmon in the valley of Megiddon.

Zec 12:12 And the land shall mourn, every family apart; the family of the house of David apart, and their wives apart; the family of the house of Nathan apart, and their wives apart;

Hos 6:1 Come, and let us return unto the LORD: for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up.

Hos 6:2 After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight.

Hos 6:3 Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the LORD: his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth.

(The days here, aren't your twenty four hour days, for they weren't fulfilled. But consider a day from God's perspective of a thousand years. From Hosea's time to now is well over two thousand years. Fact as the prophecy says we are in the third day and Israel is in her homeland. Be not ignorant of God's day)

We were grafted in, but one day the original tree will put forth it's own branches. One day the door is going to close on us Gentiles and mercy will not be extended any more to us. While it is yet day accept Christ as your saviour while He can still be found. This is the end times, we are fixing to see the end of the world as we know it. When? That's God business, ours is to just be ready.

God in the Midst.

I've now heard this testimony twice and it is wonderful and amazing.

The first was from the minister's son testifying about his Dad, and the second from the Dad at Genoa meetings.

To start with, we have a youth Camp coming, and the request is to listen to certain tapes. One being Super Sense preached back in 1959.
While the Dad and Son were visiting a church out in Oregon, the Dad (being a minister) was preaching and noticed their piano player for the church missing. It was found she had Leukemia and was dying from it. While on the way home they were listening to one of the tapes for camp Super Sense.

Nearing the end of the tape, Bro. Branham was testifying of the various miracles he had witness, one of them being this:

175    That's the sixth sense, the super sense. God, give it to me. God, let me have more of it to minister to His people, is my prayer.
This morning, when that mother brought that little redheaded baby, standing here, the tears running down her cheeks. I said, "What's the matter, sister?"
She said, "Brother Branham, it's got leukemia." I felt something rise up. Oh, He's a very present Help in the time of trouble.

It so impressed the Dad, that he felt the sister with Leukemia should listen to this tape, but the check was, it wasn't his church. So he kinda of put if off. But the pressure mounted, and finally he though to give the Pastor of that a call. In talking with the pastor, he stated that he didn't feel it was any of his business to tell him how to run his church, but though that this would be a good tape for the sister to listen to.

The Pastor's comment "Someone else had called and told him the same for the same tape"

My, my, God is wonderful, when He does things, He has a way of confirming it. The Pastor of that church made the suggestion to the sister. She listened to it, and was healed of Leukemia ( a further confirmation that the right voice was speaking to all involved).

This was nothing but God in action. It went through the proper channels, and achieved the results. He used two different people to speak to the pastor (not the sister), the pastor weighted it, and presented it to the sister. She listened to it, and was given a miracle.

God in the midst of His people. God working through individuals, as a team effort to achieve results, it wasn't just one person, but several involved - hearing a still small voice.

In the Name of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, I condemn this devil called leukemia. The disease of this child's body, it shall leave it...?... in the Name of Jesus Christ, may it be so.

The great Creator became my Saviour,
And all God's fullness dwelleth in Him.
